Healthy Brownies

First get these two ingredients...yes, you need to get a can of black beans.
first dump the beans, plus liquid, into a 1 gallon Ziplock bag to squish up the beans.  then add the dry brownie mix to the bag and mix them together.

prepare the pan according to the directions on the box  -- or if you are using a dutch oven, prepare as you would for baking...
add mixture to the prepared pan and bake as directed on package.  Remember one charcoal is 35 degrees of temperature...
smile and enjoy!

Cub Scout Winter Fun Day

Today was Cub Scout Fun Winter Day out at our Council's Boy Scout Camp (Silver Trails). I took over 100 photos but since most of them are of my Cubs, I'm not gonna post them here. I am gonna post a couple of Karoline, who was able to attend because one of the registered boys could not at the last minute.

Below Karoline is waiting for a leader to brand a wooden disk for her. The camp has several dozen brands and brings them out for various activities so the kids can get various things branded.
Here Karoline is giving one of the Cubs a ride on a sled. The activity was to pull the sled around the cones as fast as you could. I think this was their real favorite.
It isn't camp without making smores, even in the winter. Yum!

Pool Party

What a fun evening we had last night at the YMCA! My Cub Pack rented the pool for two hours and invited the brother Boy Scout Troop to join us. We had about 70 people there.

To Help Other People...

I promise to do my best,
To do my duty to God and my Country.
To help other people,
And to obey the Law of the Pack.

Our Day at the Boy Scout Camp

So yesterday my co-leader and I took our Cubs, plus my co-leader's granddaughters, out to Silver Trails, the Boy Scout camp where our brother troop is camping. It was a fun, yet exhausting, day.

We made a craft (God's eyes), took two hikes, shot the BB guns, shot the arrows with the bows, and ate lunch, dinner and two snacks!

I really expected the boys to fall asleep in the car on the way back home but they chattered away like they still had tons of energy!

Hurray!

I have this Scouting at-risk project I do, along with several others, for boys who live in a rather poor section of Port Huron. We have both a Cub Scout Pack and a Boy Scout Troop.

We celebrated our Blue & Gold, along with our Green & Gold, just the other night. We had an outstanding turnout - over 65 people.

We had no idea how many to expect. We just told the fellas to come and to bring their families. Happily we ran out of food and had to make a run over to the local pizza place for three big pies.

It is exciting to watch our program grow.
