Nothing like having May weather in the middle of March to pick up the spirit. I got this quote from the wrapper of a milk chocolate Dove Promise.
Paper crafter, yarn crafter, grandmother, friend, Michigander, Tiger baseball junkie and owned by a jackshund

First real page
The shame of it all - tearing pages out of a book - I never could really do such a thing - not being a library science major with a literature minor - oh the pain :)
Never fear, I have a book that was created just for this purpose. No classics were injured making this creation.
Not many people know that I consider February to be one of two months of sadness I allow myself each year . Starting with January 31st (my late brother's birthday) and ending with February 27th (Chuck's birthday). The other is June 1st to July 3rd.
More Art Journal
After I had the second page finished I knew then I could get started on the actual journal and cover.
I had purchased two 6"x6" watercolor pads at Hobby Lobby for this project. They had a thin paper on the top but a hard chipboard backboard. I separated all the papers and punched two holes in them. Then used the two backboards to make the front and back covers. Once again I reached back into my Cub Scouting roots of KIS-MIF (keep it simple-make it fun) and just glued a couple of pieces of paper to the front cover. misted it a bit where they joined up, and put a title on.

An Art Journal
I've started an Art Journal. Yep, it deserves capital letters. I started this because I got hooked up with Tracy Weinzapfel and started joining her on Monday nights on her Ustream channel. It is hard to explain what actually goes on during these Monday night, 90 minute creating sessions without witnessing them yourself. Spontaneous magic is the best description I can come up with.
This is a very simple page I did. Tracy says you should start with the second page because it is easier than the first one ;).
All I did was laid some ghost letters down on the paper and then sprayed it all over with Tattered Angels glimmer mist. Easy peasy.
