Rob has been looking for a new car for about two months, ever since the Escort died in our driveway (she has 285,000 miles, so it was her time).
He found a 2006 Pontiac G-6 that had low mileage and the right price. He bought it last Monday and took delivery on Tuesday. The dealership gave him a warranty of 3,000 miles or 3 months, which ever came first. Of course, the fact that Rob drives 1,000 per week means the warranty was something Rob didn't think he would ever be able to use. HA!
Two hours after he drove off the lot he decided to try to open the moon roof - opened smoothly! But he couldn't get it to close. It's winter here, it's snowing, it's freezing and he can't close the roof. He took the car back. The dealership is fixing the roof - it needs a couple of parts.
They gave him a loaner to use while they work on his car - a 2009 Buick Lucerne!
We think they were a bit embarrassed that he had to bring the other car back so soon...
